Even though my maiden name was "Crocker" as in Betty Crocker it may come as a complete surprise to you that I'm not a Master Chef in the Kitchen!!! I do get a copy of Kraft Food & Family and have a several cookbooks! That's all you need, right? I love the magazine Kraft puts out and it's free (if you don't get it you can sign up at kraftfoods.com). The recipes are usually easy and call for normal stuff!!! Okay, so this week I made fudge and it was easy!! Not the recipe my mom and grandmother used where it was like making a masterpiece. This recipe was so easy that Noah pretty much cooked it! Thought I'd pass it along so you can impress some folks at your upcoming Holiday gatherings! They will think man can you cook!!!
EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE (and this time they really do mean easy, some recipes say that but it's just a catch to get you to try it!)
What you need:
1 pkg. (8 squares) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1 can (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 tsp. Vanilla
Here are the steps:
1. The recipe says line an 8-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil, extending over sides. (I did this and it was hard to get the fudge off so next time I am using wax paper instead)
2. Microwave chocolate and milk in microwaveable bowl on High 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 2 min. (mine only took 2 minutes)
3. Stir until chocolate is melted, using pot holders on hot bowl. Blend in vanilla.
4. Spread fudge into prepared pan.
5. They have several options you can add or not (oreo's, peanuts, marshmallow's, peanut butter). We added the peanut butter option: Drop 1/2 cup of peanut butter by teaspoonfuls over fudge. Cut through peanut butter with knife several times for marble effect.
6. Refrigerate 2 hours or until fudge is firm.
7. Use foil handles to lift fudge from pan. Cut into squares.
Enjoy this yummy yummy fudge and be glad that you read this blog so you can be in the know!!!! :)
