Karate Kid!

Jason has a black belt in Taw Kwon Do, so maybe it's just in Noah's genes! He started taking Karate through Christian Soldiers Karate at our church and is doing so great at it. Jason started taking it with him also and they are loving it! Such a great opportunity for them to bond!! They have karate forms to learn, bible verses to memorize, bible worksheets to complete, kicks, punches, and service to others. It is a lot of work and they have class once a week! Noah has been doing really great at it and truly seems to be a natural! He is his daddy's child! Saturday, he had his first belt test! We drove to the Azle dojo, which is a really neat place! It's an open building with stone work! I thought it was such a pretty setting and it felt like something out of a movie!!! Anyways back to my story! As part of Noah's test he had to do certain punches, kicks, say his memory verse, break a board, and do his form. (I don't think I left anything out!!) Anyway, they both did great!!! I couldn't believe Noah broke his board on the first try! Jason did amazing on his also and they both progressed from white belt to yellow belt! Actually the board Jason broke looked more like a cabinet door! Proud of my boys!

Oh and when we got home Ethan sat up his people for some karate action! Plus he and Noah were trying to break my table, couch, popsicle sticks, etc!!!  Yikes!
