In the Kitchen...

I love that our kitchen is located in the center of our house! It really is the heart of our home. A place where lots of time is spent making great memories and lots of conversations take place! My kids love helping in the kitchen and usually chat away about things while stirring! So thankful for our home, these kids, my hubby, and our time together connecting!

Some one on one time with Caleb is a rare moment in a house of 5! The other two were outside gardening with Daddy! Our kids are still at the lovely age where helping is fun and they really enjoy it! I don't know what age that changes but I am not looking forward to it!

So, Caleb and I did some cooking! Here he is helping me cook supper (he looks so big in this pic)! We both enjoyed it so much! He has the sweetest voice and he doesn't just talk...he has a full on conversation with you. I love this little stinker!! He is so compassionate, loving, and he is a mommy's boy! Love you to pieces Caleb!

I also have been a very busy bee canning away! I love canning! There is something so special about pulling down a jar of homemade yumminess and digging into it! Last Sunday we had homemade biscuits with fresh jam and I thought I was in heaven! Real food...fresh food...yummmm!!!!  I have got stored away salsa, tomato basil sauce, strawberry jam, grape jelly, and peach jam! Now, I would love to freeze some veggies but I want to put up a lot! If anyone in the Weatherford area knows of a farm where you can buy veggies by the bushel (not too $) please let me know!! We have already checked into the local farmer's market. Our garden is a small one so if you have a large one I would also be willing to take some veggies off your hands (I know how sweet of me!!)!!!
