Noah loves Dinosaurs. Loves is actually an understatement! The boy is obsessed with Dinosaurs! He reads about Dinosaurs a lot and he knows an amazing amount of facts about them! He even knows what time periods they are from! He definitely knows way more about them than we do!!! He has even taught Ethan and Caleb a lot about them too. You should hear Caleb in his two year old little body say Brachiosaurus! He even plans on being a Paleontologist when he grows up! So, we added Dino World to our Summer bucket list and last Saturday drove the one hour trip to Glen Rose to see this awesome place! The boys were in heaven!!
(I must say I am not a fan of LSU but we couldn't find another hat for him to wear...he got the LSU hat playing baseball a couple years back! It's a joke at our house because I really do not like LSU! Maybe I should sensor the hat in the pic but the boy is cute!!! haha)
Dino World has 150 life size dinosaurs and a fossil dig. The fossil dig was actually better than other fossil digs we have done (yes we have done others!)! The kids were allowed to take home 3 fossils each. We ended up with a dinosaur bone, shark teeth, and some fossilized plants from the ocean.
We had such a great family day! Laughing, making up stories about the dinosaurs, pretending like we were being chased, and of course about to be eaten by one!
Then we hit the jackpot (or at least mom and dad think so!). We left Dino World in search of ice cream! Jason decided to drive through Downtown Glen Rose where we spotted a homemade pie shop! Yes!!!! We stopped and enjoyed some very delicious pie, the boys got their ice cream, and we soaked up the atmosphere of this cutely decorated pie shop!
