In the past I tried to make it all happen. Rarely said no and just tried to figure out a way to squeeze it all on the calendar. Lately I have taken a step back, way back from all the things! It is been a beneficial time for me to refocus and realize what things are important in my life. It made me realize that I need to say no more and keep things simple for my family. When school started back for Noah, soccer started at the same time for Ethan & Noah....life suddenly went into crazy busy mode. We began to run from one activity to another, eating whatever supper we could find, and not having a free moment to just be together. Our calendar got crazy full and a night at home became a rare thing. Not a good time! Through our slow down we have seen how much it has helped our relationship and our kids! A lot more peace in our house. I have even been free to cook real meals that are yummy and not fast food! So as we ease back into things...we will do so with a new plan to keep it simple! No more crazy busy! We have a family schedule now that we will do our best to stick too.

That's a good message, girl! We don't even have extra curriculars yet and I feel like life is constantly flying. I'm craving down time and simplicity. It's really hard to say no to things - especially things that sound fun, but it's definitely worth it for time together.
