Some details of our little man's birth...
Jason & I have always wanted to have a large family (3 kids in our opinion is a large family!). Thankfully God has blessed us with this dream of 3 beautiful healthy happy baby boys! My c-section was scheduled way in advance for November 23rd since it was a repeat deal. I, however, did not believe I would make it that far along. Noah was born at 38 weeks, Ethan was born at 37 weeks, so I assumed the same thing would happen. But to my complete surprise I kept going and going. Weeks were passing by and I was realizing this was going to be the longest pregnancy of my life! And it was!!! I was 39 weeks 4 days when he was born! I feel for anyone who has gone past 40 weeks! Ok I hardly slept at all the night before my c-section way too much excitement in the air! We did our Thanksgiving dinner that Sunday and then Sunday night packed for the hospital. I woke up Jason at 4am to get ready to go since we had to be at the hospital at 5:30am. Since I've never gotten to wake him up in the middle of the night in labor and shout Honey it's time...I did so then. It was funny and he actually laughed despite the fact it was 4 am!!! We got ready and drove to the hospital in the worst fog I've seen in my life! Once we got there they got things rolling fast. It was all going so quickly and anxiety was rising. Then at 7:15am they walked me to the operating room. Fear took over...agh!!! As I got on the table I told the nurses, dr, anyone who would listen, that I had changed my mind (of course I hadn't just the thought of c section was scaring me)! My Dr. responded oh no you've been wanting me to get his baby out for weeks and he is coming out today! It's true I had been begging her for weeks to take him out because I was SO miserable! The operation started, the baby was delivered crying and healthy, and then there were some problems sewing me back up. That got pretty scary overhearing the dr and nurses talking. The thoughts of my kids not having me in their lives started to flow and I started to pray. I won't give the details because it might be too much info! But my c section took twice as long as it should have and it was scary. In the end everything was ok and my Dr. assured me that it sounded worse than it really was. Such a relief to get to the recovery room. Although I had gotten so upset in surgery it took some time and drugs to get me calmed down. The recovery didn't go so good either because the nurse was late starting my pain meds. Then they moved me from recovery to my room and had to play catch up on the pain meds to get me to a comfortable level again. So the deliver day was a really rough day but the day after and each day thereafter has been so great. My recovery has been the best with this one. I have been moving around quiet a bit with bearable pain from early on. I am thankful God was in control and everything turned out great in the end. Lovin' my little boy :)
I love seeing those 3 little boys in every pic... gee I wonder why?... he is absolutely beautiful April... can't wait to see you... rest up! love you!
