Since Noah started school he has not been to keen on me kissing him at school but hasn't actually said anything. He just acts like it bothers him. So I started doing our goodbye's in the car!
Well yesterday I forgot. I leaned over to kiss him as he was going into the gym. He leaned way over so I was not able to kiss him. I looked inside the gym and his little friends were laughing. So I thought to myself OK got to remember to kiss him in the car.
Then when Noah got home from school he decided we needed to have a talk! He told me that I can NOT kiss him at school. I said why? He said because it is embarrassing and my friends laugh at me. I said OK. He said you can only kiss me at home and only sometimes at church. Ouch! I can't believe we are already to that point! Good grief! I told him OK but to expect lots of kisses at home!!! Of course he has been wiping off the kisses for a long time anyway!
So mommy's kiss your baby's!!! ha! At least Ethan is still a big sugar loving boy! And is always saying mommy I want to hold you! I will enjoy all of it! :)
I want to just weep at the thought and giggle at their finding their "self"... that things are so well with their little souls that Mamas' love is unconditional... love ya Mama... I'm kissing them twice as much now!

ReplyDeletethat is kinda sad. i'm not so sure mine will get to that point so quick. rylie loves to kiss and it even sometimes annoys me. i know, i'm bad. but this story does make me think twice. i'd rather have too many kisses.
