NO NO NO ... THE GERMS!!!!

Monday I had to take Ethan in for his two year old WELL CHILD checkup. I really don't like those checkups because I don't want to leave with anything more than a sucker! No germs please! So before we got there I told the kids not to touch anything. I asked them to just sit in the chair and please don't touch the toys. Noah said why. So I told him there were germs on all the toys, floor, and the germs would try and make him sick. The best thing to do is just stay in your seat please. He agreed and so did little Ethan. Of course he's only 2 so we never know if he really understands what we are asking of him poor thing!

We get to the doctor's office and I am checking us in. Ethan RUNS straight to the toys and starts playing. Then Noah screams as loud as he can NO NO NO NO ETHAN THE GERMS. Everyone in the office looked at me. I could feel my face heating up with embarrassment. Then wishing my child would just be quiet. Noah continues, "Mom, Ethan is touching the toys. He's going to get the germs." Me trying not to make a big deal about it and get the attention off of us just said OK honey. He continues. Then the lady behind the counter says I do clean them with disinfecting wipes. I said I am sure you do and then had to explain to her the conversation I had earlier with the kids. I felt so bad! Then I told her how she can't go behind each kid cleaning so there are bound to be some germs left behind. She told me she tells her kids the same thing. That helped me to feel better! I am not really a big germ phobia person...but when the kids are well I like to try and keep them that way! But be prepared for NOAH THE RULE ENFORCER!
