So Not the Early Risers!!!

Today, I took Noah to the dentist. For some insane reason I agreed to an 8am appointment. What was I thinking?!?!? Okay, we normally get up between 7:30-8:00am. Which is nice :) I guess when I agreed to the appointment I didn't do the math. So for us to all be there, ready, dressed, and fed I would have to get up at 5:45am!!! Oh my gosh!!! I didn't have this realization until late last night or I probably would have rescheduled...that's how much I like my sleep.

So this morning I woke Noah up at 6:30am. It was still dark outside. He said why are you waking me up so late? He has never seen it dark when he gets up before so poor thing was so confused. So in his mind it was really late at night not really early!! We also tell him at night Noah look outside at how dark it is you need to get to bed it is really late! So he was very confused! He laid in bed trying to wake up while I finished putting on my make up. Then we ate breakfast because my kids are just like me and can't start the day without food!! They usually wake up saying with Ethan saying Milk and Noah saying I want a poptart. Here they are at breakfast...

I'm so sleepyHe kept closing his eyes, stretching, and yawning!Noah was actually resting in between bites5 more minutes mom!

After breakfast, Noah started going and looking out my window at the sky changing. It was getting lighter and lighter outside. He said "OH MY GOSH THIS IS INCREDIBLE!). He really enjoyed watching the sun wake up(as he put it!).

So how have we fared today getting up so early? I am exhausted and could go to sleep right now which I might do once I finish with this post! Ethan fell asleep on the way TO The Schoolhouse, which he's never done before. I've even used Starbucks to get me going today but nothing has helped. This means we are in for a very rude awakening come fall because Noah starts school then!!! How will I do this everyday for 5 days a week? I guess that means I will have to get in bed earlier than 11pm. Which I like staying up late so that will be hard! But my kids already go to bed at 8pm and barely see daddy at that schedule. They can't go to bed much earlier!!!

I think we are going to be some sleepy sleepy people! It made me so thankful to be a stay at home mom and not have to rush out like this everyday. :) But boy are we going to enjoy sleeping in until school starts. Savor the days!!!
