So I normally only post all about the kids! But this one is for me!! Last Thursday night I started taking a Wilton Cake Decorating class through Michael's. (Which by the way seems very domesticated and something I wouldn't have done in the past...funny how age & kids change you!) Anyways, the class itself is cheap the supplies are not! I am really enjoying it. This week at class we are going to make a rainbow cake. So today I decided I needed some practice since I did not even know how to put the bag together, fill it with icing, or anything about decorating. I was really surprised at how well it turned out. I feel a lot better about the class now. I was feeling a little overwhelmed and like I wasn't going to be able to do it! So yeah practice did help! Noah ate all my leftover icing and then asked for more!!!! I will be making a cake a week for the next three weeks for class and my family is very excited about it! I'm sure I'll be posting pictures ... well unless they turn out awful and then we'll just eat them (destroy the evidence)!!!
Too fun!!! I need to do something like that for sewing. I've done a few cakes for Emily's birthday's. If your interested in seeing them I've got a blog in either August or September 2008 of her birthday. It was a sunflower cake. FUN stuff I can't wait to see what you do. It'll give me ideas.
