Today we were watching the Inauguration of President Obama. I was trying to explain to Noah that President Bush was the old president and President Obama is the new president. So I was telling him that Bush was coming back to Texas. At that moment, they had the helicopter on there and the announcer was talking about how Bush was headed back to Texas NOW. Noah looked at me and said, "Cool, maybe he will be HERE when I get back from school." And by here he means our house! I just thought it was too funny! I said well babe he is headed to Texas but Texas is big so we might not ever see him. He said but I live in Texas too! So funny :)
A few weeks ago I overheard him and a friend from school having a similar conversation.
Colton: So Noah I live in Texas where do you live?
Noah (surprised): I live in Texas too!
Colton (also surprised): You do!
Noah: YES
Colton: What football team do you go for?
Noah: I go for two teams. The Longhorns and the Cowboys!!!
It's just so funny how in Noah's mind Texas is just this small place he calls home! I am sure it has something to do with us living in a few states and knowing that he has family back in Mississippi. But it is just so funny how he is trying to make all this information fit!
TOO cute. Isn't it neat to listen to them sometimes. Gotta love it. Hope y'all are staying warm.

ReplyDeleteso sweet... I'm thinking about putting C back in the Little Schoolhouse just b/c of those types of little conversations... does he have Ms. Meehan? They might have been in the same class this past sept. and me not even knowing it...
