God's Protection

Last night we were driving down the road headed towards home in Jason's truck and listening to the radio. They said that a Tornado was close to Weatherford (where we live) and headed in our direction. We stopped the truck and went into Brookshires grocery for safety. The store locked down and kept everyone in the back.

While we were in the back we heard a loud roar come over. What we heard was the tornado in this picture passing overhead. By the grace of God it didn't touch down. That was the scaredest I've ever been in my life. I felt like I should be doing something to protect my family but didn't know what to do. I am so thankful that God protected us. Also, which seems small in comparision, God kept Ethan satisfied and content. Ethan usually eats around 6:30 and when he is hungry he's ready to eat right then. We didn't leave Brookshire's until around 8pm and he was content the whole time. Which in the midst of the chaos was nice. When we left the ground was white with hail, it looked like it had snowed. It just made me realize that in a second things could've been really bad for us. My whole family could have lost their lives. But God kept the Tornado up just enough so no one was hurt. God is incredible. Just remember He is in control. He has the power to do all things.

This picture was taken by someone that works out here with my dad and it was taken very close to the grocery store we were in.
This picture was taken outside and the white stuff is hail not snow!

Check out this link of the hail storm that came through here. This video is from The Weather Channel. It is unbelievable.
