Friday,Day 1 - Monday, Day 4- We enjoyed ourselves...sledding, throwing ice balls, making an ice man, being pulled around by the go kart, baking peanut butter cookies, making gingerbread houses, watching Christmas movies, playing board games, etc. Tons of family fun!! We had a blast sliding on our snow boards which went much farther on ice! We got them last year and have just been waiting for an opportunity to use them! Hello opportunity! Now I'm going to order Jason & I some snow boards so next time we don't have to keep borrowing the kids! Loved all the extra time with daddy as we were iced in! Well, he is such a kid though so there really was no keeping folks inside! We just had to take warm up breaks and then back out! Especially on Sunday when the temps were nice and the sun was out!
Tuesday, Day 5 - I LOVE LOVE LOVE SNOW! BUT...OMG is this stuff ever going to melt?!?! I did realize living in the south is for me because I wouldn't want to have this ALL winter! We had to get out! So, we braved the roads and headed to town for lunch with Daddy at Yesterday's!! It did us all good to get out and walk around downtown! My traction control light did come on three times but that was all on our country road!
Wednesday, Day 6 - I can't believe this stuff is still here but at least the roads are pretty much clear now with exception of a few shady spots! Looks like it's back to school for us tomorrow...boo!
By the way - I wouldn't mind one of those freak 75 degree "Texas winter" days but not on Christmas please! Christmas is suppose to be cold!!!
