Cafe Du Monde
A little bit of New Orleans at my Walmart? So, friday I was doing my normal grocery shopping except this time I had no children with me! Caleb was at my parents, Ethan at pre-k, and Noah at school. Being alone at the grocery store allowed me to actually see the products instead of just throwing things in my buggy as fast as I can! On the top shelf I saw this...
I was so excited!!! The last time I was in New Orleans was before Noah was born, in fact, it was before I was ever pregnant! So we are talking like 9 years ago! Seeing this box brought back memories of Jason & I at Cafe Du Monde eating a Beignet while somone sat outside our window playing the saxophone! Such a beautiful day and a beautiful memory! This mix was going home with me!! So today, I cooked them up! Notice the french directions on the side...how cool! Check out the history of this place too...open since 1862!

ReplyDeleteSo weird!!! I brought home a box of Cafe Du Monde beneit mix last time I was in Miss, and I finally made them this morning! We must be sharing a N'orlins wavelength!!
