cELeBrAte...

It happened...finally...I was about to loose hope...or ram my head into a wall...whichever came first!!!

Lets go back and get some history on this subject first! When I was about 32 weeks preggo Ethan was doing good with the potty training. Not telling me yet but he would go pee in the potty and he was keeping his pants dry for hours at a time. But mommy ran out of go go juice and quit taking him. Deciding to start back in January once things had settled down a little with the new baby.

So we did start back in January and Ethan had lost interest. Now he wouldn't potty at all. I thought oh great I really messed up by stopping. So I started trying all the rewards I could think of...m&m's, sticker charts, pee pee dances, promises of fishig trips, playing baseball...anything I oculd think of!!! Did any of it work? NO! Ethan would just tell me, uh uh not going to get ______(whatever reward) peed in my pants! He understood the whole rewards system but just didn't care! Then a week ago we were in Wal-Mart and he wanted some pink bubbles. I told him we would get them but we couldn't blow any unless he kept his pull up clean all day. He said ok and did it! Are you kidding me? All the things we had tried and nothing worked. Pink bubbles, really? So I had my doubt that we would have the same results the next day...but we did...and not only was he keeping his pants dry he was actually telling us when he needed to potty. Just like that really!!! I am ecstatic its been a week and he is in big boy underwear and telling us when he needs to potty! So proud of him!! So every night we are blowing pink bubbles for his dry pants reward! Bubbles are much cheaper than pull ups so I will gladly blow them!!!! Just can't believe pink bubbles did the trick!
