Thoughts About A Chimney & Santa!
This morning we were sitting at the table eating breakfast when the question every kid (without one) ask came up! I was singing the song, "Up on the housetop reindeer paws...out jumps good ol' Santa Claus...down through the chimney with lots of toys...etc". I finished the song and then Noah asked, "Do we have a chimney?". I knew where this was headed but I just wanted to see what all he said. So, I only replied, "No we don't." Then he said, "You remember the big bad wolf he came down a chimney....You remember Rollie Pollie Ollie, they had a chimeny." I said, "Yeah I remember that." He said, "We need a chimney...We could move my toy box and put one there." I told him I didn't think we could do that. While he was sitting there thinking for a little while ... I said, "So how do you think Santa can get in?" He thought some more and then replied, "He could come in the front door." Then he said, "No that won't work he's belly is too big." So I suggested we use the back door because it's bigger. He still wasn't sure about that. Then I told him Santa could squeeze in if he turned sideways. He agrees that will work. So we will have to include in our letter to Santa directions how to get IN our house!!! What a fun age :)
